England Rugby has named Jamie George as the new captain for the upcoming Six Nations tournament, replacing Owen Farrell who has decided to step back from international duty.
Steve Borthwick, England's head coach, has announced a revamped squad for the tournament, with just 17 of the 34 players who appeared in the World Cup included in the 36-man training group.
Seven uncapped players have been selected for the squad, including Exeter's Immanuel Feyi-Waboso and Ethan Roots, and Harlequins duo Chandler Cunningham-South and Oscar Beard.
Kyle Sinckler and Billy Vunipola, both part of the squad that reached the World Cup semifinal last year, have been omitted from the squad.
England's Six Nations campaign will open against Italy in Rome on February 3.
