James Wan to Produce Dark Reboot of 'The Munsters'

The new series, titled '1313,' will reimagine the classic sitcom as a horror show within the Universal Monsterverse.

James Wan, known for 'Saw' and 'The Conjuring,' is developing the series with Lindsey Anderson Beer and Ingrid Bisu.
'1313' is named after the Munsters' iconic address, 1313 Mockingbird Lane.
The original 'The Munsters' aired from 1964 to 1966 and has seen multiple reboots.
Universal Studio Group is producing the series, which has no release date yet.
Past attempts to reboot 'The Munsters' include a 2012 pilot and a 2022 film by Rob Zombie.
