James Van Der Beek Sets Dec. 5–7 Auction of ‘Dawson’s Creek’ and ‘Varsity Blues’ Memorabilia to Fund Cancer Care

The sale channels fan nostalgia to help cover mounting cancer-care expenses.

  • One hundred percent of proceeds from the consigned items will go to the actor to help pay treatment costs.
  • Lots include the necklace Dawson gave Joey, estimated at $26,400–$52,800, plus Dawson’s pilot outfit, a signature flannel shirt, and items from Varsity Blues such as film-worn cleats and a team hat.
  • Interested bidders can register now, with live in-room bidding in London on Dec. 6 and global online bidding open through Dec. 7.
  • The 48-year-old disclosed a stage 3 colorectal cancer diagnosis last year and previously sold Varsity Blues merchandise to offset expenses for his family and other patients.
