The former Real Madrid star terminated his contract with Rayo after making only six league appearances this season without scoring.
Leon, eight-time Mexican league champions, will compete in the 2025 Club World Cup this summer, facing teams like Chelsea and Flamengo.
Rodriguez was named the best player in the 2024 Copa America and is the current leader in assists during Colombia’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
This marks Rodriguez's sixth club since 2021, following stints at São Paulo, Olympiacos, Al-Rayyan, Everton, and Rayo Vallecano.
