James Madison University Hires Bob Chesney as New Football Coach

Chesney, Former Holy Cross Coach, to Take Over After Curt Cignetti's Departure for Indiana

James Madison University has hired Bob Chesney as their new football coach, replacing Curt Cignetti who left for Indiana.
Chesney, who previously coached at Holy Cross, has a record of 44-21 and led the team to four FCS playoff appearances.
Chesney will not be part of the coaching staff for the upcoming Armed Forces Bowl on Dec. 23, where James Madison will play against Air Force.
James Madison is currently ranked No. 24 and has had a successful season with an 11-1 record.
Chesney has a history of turning around football programs, having led Holy Cross to five consecutive winning seasons and four FCS playoff appearances.
