Despite Past Declarations, Harden Aims for Long-Term Contract with Current Team

Harden's performance since joining the Clippers has been strong, with the team winning 23 of their last 30 games and Harden averaging 16.9 points, 8.4 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game.
Kawhi Leonard, another key player for the Clippers, recently signed a three-year, $153 million contract extension, taking less than he was eligible for in hopes of keeping the team's core together.
Paul George, who led the Clippers in their recent game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, is also eligible for a contract extension.
