James Gunn Expands 'Superman' Cast with Mikaela Hoover and Christopher MacDonald

Hoover and MacDonald join the Daily Planet team in the upcoming DC Studios film, set to release in July 2025.

Mikaela Hoover will play gossip columnist Cat Grant, while Christopher MacDonald takes on the role of reporter Ron Troupe.
The 'Superman' cast also includes David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
James Gunn directs the film, which aims to blend Superman's Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing.
The movie is the first in a new slate of DC films under Gunn and Peter Safran's leadership.
Production is currently underway in Atlanta, with a release date scheduled for July 11, 2025.
