James Gunn Debunks Rumors About 'The Batman Part II' Characters

James Gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, has debunked recent rumors about the inclusion of comic book characters Clayface, Hush, Dick Grayson, Professor Pyg, and Scarecrow in the upcoming sequel to 'The Batman'.
The sequel, titled 'The Batman Part II', is currently under development and is scheduled for release on October 3, 2025.
The film is part of the DC Elseworlds branding initiative, led by Gunn and Peter Safran, which aims to differentiate it from the continuity of the main DC Universe.
Matt Reeves will return to direct the sequel, with Robert Pattinson reprising his role as Batman.
In addition to the sequel, a spinoff series titled 'The Penguin' is set to debut on the streaming platform Max in 2024.
