Jamal Musiala and Giulia Gwinn Named Germany’s National Players of the Year
Musiala and Gwinn topped fan votes organized by the DFB, recognizing their standout performances in 2024.
- Jamal Musiala, a 21-year-old Bayern Munich star, won the National Player of the Year award for the second time, securing 56% of the fan votes.
- Florian Wirtz of Bayer Leverkusen came in second with 38% of the votes, while Arsenal's Kai Havertz placed third with 6%.
- Giulia Gwinn, a 25-year-old defender for Bayern Munich, was named National Player of the Year for women, receiving 59% of the votes.
- Gwinn surpassed Ann-Katrin Berger of NJ/NY Gotham FC (26%) and her Bayern teammate Klara Bühl (15%) in the fan poll.
- The awards were determined through a fan vote conducted by the DFB and the Fan Club Nationalmannschaft, with nearly 145,000 votes cast for the men and 50,000 for the women.
