Jalisco Inaugurates 30th Papirolas, UDG’s Youth Festival, Running Oct. 1–5

State leaders pledge continued backing for University of Guadalajara cultural projects.

Overview

  • Organizers detailed a program centered on science, technology, arts and environmental learning, with workshops, shows and hands‑on activities for children and teens.
  • This year features an immersive Australian experience by Stalker Theater whose projections react to audience movement, allowing interaction with virtual flora and fauna.
  • Events are based at the University of Guadalajara’s Cultural Center in Zapopan and the Conjunto Santander, open 9:00 to 20:00 with Oct. 1–3 geared to schools and the weekend for the public.
  • The 30th edition adopts a “Journey to the Past” theme with interactive pavilions on scientific revolutions, ancient civilizations, prehistoric life and living roots, and general admission is listed at 100 pesos.
  • Jalisco agencies including Semadet, AIRE, Siteur, Setran and the state Culture Secretariat mounted stands and workshops, and Governor Pablo Lemus presented a recognition to educator and artist “Memo Plastilina.”
