Jalen Kitna Joins UAB After Child Pornography Charges Dropped

Former Florida quarterback expresses gratitude for second-chance opportunity, acknowledging past mistakes and expressing belief in his fit at UAB.

Jalen Kitna, former Florida quarterback, has committed to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) after child pornography charges against him were dropped.
Kitna was arrested in November 2022 on five child pornography charges but they were dropped in July after he reached a plea deal, pleading no contest to two second-degree misdemeanors.
Kitna, the son of former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, was dismissed from Florida following his arrest and has since been admitted to UAB.
UAB coach Trent Dilfer and athletic director Mark Ingram stated that Kitna was thoroughly vetted before his admission to the school.
Kitna expressed gratitude for the second-chance opportunity at UAB, acknowledging his past naive decisions and expressing his belief that UAB is the perfect fit for him.
