• External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar joined an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in New York, discussing multilateralism, the India–EU partnership, Ukraine, Gaza, energy and trade.
• EU High Representative Kaja Kallas labeled the bloc a reliable partner committed to the UN Charter and free trade, condemned the Gaza crisis, and criticized Russia’s conduct in the war against Ukraine.
• The European Commission and the High Representative have adopted a Joint Communication for a New Strategic EU–India Agenda to deepen trade, investment, industrial cooperation and connectivity.
• Jaishankar convened a High‑Level Meeting of Like‑Minded Global South Countries with 18 participants, proposing cooperation on vaccines, digital capabilities, education, agriculture and SMEs, and urging UN and multilateral reforms.
• He held a series of bilateral pull‑asides with ministers from Denmark, the Netherlands, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Mauritius, Singapore, Jamaica, Suriname, Lesotho and St. Lucia to review ties and exchange views on Europe’s strategy and the Ukraine conflict.
