Overview
- In Doha, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani to review cooperation on energy, trade, investment and people-to-people links.
- Jaishankar and Al Thani also exchanged views on West Asia and wider regional and global developments, with Qatar’s state news agency noting discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation.

- Officials earlier announced that India and Bahrain have begun negotiations on a trade agreement, are moving toward an investment pact, and plan to build a framework to start DTAA talks, with recent data citing USD 14.08 billion India–Qatar trade in 2023–24 and USD 1.64 billion India–Bahrain trade in 2024–25.
