Overview

• A 33-year-old passenger told the Mumbai sessions court he heard an argument around 3am and gunfire around 5am before seeing ASI Tikaram Meena on the floor in blood and a constable holding a rifle.
• The witness said he stayed locked in a washroom for over an hour, remained inside when the train halted between Dahisar and Mira Road, and emerged only at Borivali where police assisted him.
• He identified Chetansinh Chaudhary in a test identification parade at Thane Central Jail in September 2023 and again on Monday when the accused appeared via video conference from jail.
• Prosecutors examined him as their ninth witness as the long-running case proceeds over the July 31, 2023 killings of Meena and three passengers named as Asgar Ali Abbas, Abdul Kader Bhanpurwala, and Syed Saifuddin.
