Jaguar Land Rover Expands Suspension Knuckle Recall to 121,509 U.S. SUVs

Free inspection of front suspension knuckles using a Canadian-developed remedy will be offered under the recall to prevent potential component failures.

Overview

  • The expanded recall covers 2014–2017 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SUVs after NHTSA documented upper knuckle joints cracking and risking suspension-arm detachment.
  • Dealers will inspect front suspension knuckles and install retaining brackets or replace assemblies at no charge using the fix developed during Canada’s earlier action.
  • Jaguar Land Rover filed the U.S. recall with NHTSA on August 8, building on a 2024 recall that affected 16,759 vehicles.
  • Notification letters will be mailed to owners by September 30, 2025, and repairs can begin immediately once parts arrive at dealerships.
  • JLR and NHTSA are investigating why Canadian-market vehicles show higher failure rates, with 110 knuckle-failure reports logged so far but no injuries reported.
