Jagex Announces RuneScape: Dragonwilds, an Open-World Survival Game

Set in the unexplored continent of Ashenfall, the game will launch in early access on Steam this spring, with a deep-dive livestream planned for April 15.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds is an open-world survival and crafting game built using Unreal Engine 5, marking a significant visual and technical upgrade for the franchise.
The game takes place on Ashenfall, a previously unexplored continent in the RuneScape universe, where players must survive, uncover ancient secrets, and slay the Dragon Queen.
Dragonwilds will feature co-op gameplay for up to four players, with survival mechanics like crafting, building, and skill progression, alongside magic powered by Anima.
Jagex has conducted closed alpha testing with community members and plans to continue incorporating player feedback during early access development.
The game is set to launch in early access on Steam in spring 2025, with more details expected during a livestream event on April 15, 2025.
