Jaedon LeDee leads No. 17 San Diego State to victory with high score of 27 in season opener against Cal State Fullerton

  • Jaedon LeDee scored a career-best 27 points, including six in the first three minutes of the second half, and pulled down 10 rebounds, guiding No. 17 San Diego State to an 83-57 victory over the Cal State Fullerton Titans in their season opener.
  • San Diego State outscored the Titans 46-22 in the second half. The Aztecs initiated a 24-8 run when the Titans were trailing by just two points, widening the lead considerably.
  • Micah Parrish added 17 points, scored five 3-pointers and completed six rebounds and four steals for San Diego State. Reese Waters also contributed significantly with 15 points.
  • Despite losing five key players from last season, including leading scorer Matt Bradley and leading rebounder Nathan Mensah, the Aztecs managed to pull through with an impressive performance.
  • Dominic Brewton recorded 13 points, Max Jones scored 11 points, and Donovan Oday added 10 points for the Cal State Fullerton Titans, who struggled against the Aztecs. The Titans were only able to connect on 32.8 percent of their shots.
