Jacob deGrom, Ronald Acuña Jr. Named MLB Comeback Players of the Year

Voters recognized standout returns from major injuries based on 2025 production.

  • DeGrom, back from Tommy John surgery, went 12-8 with a 2.97 ERA, a 0.92 WHIP and 172 2/3 innings across 30 starts, earning his fifth All-Star nod.
  • Acuña returned May 23 from a 2024 torn left ACL and hit .290/.417/.518 with 21 home runs, including a 467-foot homer on his first pitch of the season, and made the All-Star team.
