- The Tigers announced that 22-year-old right-hander Jackson Jobe will have Tommy John surgery and miss the rest of 2025 plus most or all of 2026.
- Jobe entered the season as Detroit’s top pitching prospect and the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 MLB draft.
- He posted a 4-1 record with a 4.22 ERA and saw his fastball velocity dip from 98.5 mph in spring training to 95.5 mph by late May.
