Overview

• Burch died Sunday at her Atlanta home after a four-month battle with endometrial cancer, according to friend and fellow casting director Gail Goldberg.
• Her credits included Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Die Hard, Predator, Mask and Dick Tracy, with frequent collaborations with John Hughes and John Landis.
• She was pivotal in casting Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber in Die Hard and worked on action vehicles for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone.
• In later years she handled local or additional casting on major franchises such as Iron Man 3, The Hunger Games, Ant-Man and The Fast and the Furious.
