• Jeff Bezos wrote on Instagram that his mother passed away surrounded by loved ones following a prolonged fight with Lewy body dementia.
• She was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia in 2020 and spent her final years receiving care at home in Miami.
• In 1995 Jackie and her husband, Miguel “Mike” Bezos, provided Amazon’s first external funding of about $245,573 to help launch the company.
