Jackery Unveils Palm-Sized Explorer 100D With LFP Battery

Its 96Wh lithium iron phosphate pack pairs long lifespan with fast solar recharge to target travelers and creators.

Overview

  • Jackery announced the Explorer 100D on Monday, and the device is already sold as a two-pack at Costco for $179.99 with a single unit due at Walmart on Nov. 15 for $99.
  • The unit holds 96Wh (about 30,000mAh), measures roughly 11.9 x 8.3 x 8.6 cm, weighs about 850 g, and is small enough to meet typical airline carry-on battery limits.
  • Jackery uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells in the 100D and says they are engineered for up to 3,000 charge cycles or about eight years of regular use, though independent test data was not reported.
  • The 100D has two 140W USB-C ports and one 18W USB-A port with a 158W combined output limit and supports up to 100W of direct solar input that Jackery says can recharge it to roughly 80% in 1.5 hours.
  • By packing LFP chemistry into a palm-sized, sub-$100 unit, Jackery is positioning the 100D to compete with larger power banks on longevity and to nudge more buyers toward solar-ready, travel-friendly backup power while availability outside the U.S. is not yet listed.
