• Bitchat operates entirely over Bluetooth Low Energy mesh networks, eliminating the need for internet, central servers, phone numbers, or email accounts.
• Messages are encrypted end-to-end, stored only on devices, and vanish by default without touching any centralized infrastructure.
• Users can join optional hashtag-named, password-protected group rooms for multi-user conversations within the mesh.
• Bridge nodes extend connectivity beyond the 30-meter Bluetooth range and store-and-forward functionality delivers messages to temporarily offline devices.
