- In Cremona, Badr Jaafari claimed the men’s national crown in 1:01:48 and Sara Bottarelli won the women’s title in a 1:11:46 personal best at the Italian Half Marathon Championships.
- The championships doubled as the third stage of the road running club series and drew roughly 1,300 entrants, with Ahmed Ouhda (1:02:14) and Alberto Mondazzi (1:02:15) on the men’s podium and Anna Arnaudo second in 1:12:50.
