Davonte Pack, a close friend of Memphis Grizzlies player Ja Morant, was arrested on an assault charge stemming from a July 2022 incident at Morant's home.
The arrest comes amid an ongoing lawsuit filed by a teenager who claims he was punched by Morant and Pack during a pickup basketball game at Morant's house.
Morant has claimed self-defense, stating the teen aggressively threw a basketball at his face.
Pack admitted to hitting the teen but said he did not feel threatened.
This is not Pack's first off-court issue involving Morant.
