Ja Morant Nears End of Suspension, Set to Meet NBA Commissioner

The Memphis Grizzlies star has complied with a league program during his suspension and is expected to return on December 19.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is nearing the end of his 25-game suspension for brandishing a gun in social media posts, with NBA commissioner Adam Silver set to meet with him this week.
Morant was first suspended for eight games in March after displaying a firearm on Instagram Live, and then again for 25 games in June after a similar incident.
During his suspension, Morant has been required to follow a program set by the league to address his behavior.
The Grizzlies, who finished second in the Western Conference last season, have struggled without Morant, starting the season with a 6-15 record.
Morant is expected to be eligible to return to play on December 19 against the New Orleans Pelicans.
