Overview

• The BJP president attended Ganesh festivities in Pune on August 30 and performed pooja at the Sai Mitra Mandal in Kothrud.
• He told reporters he prayed to Lord Ganesh to make India strong, developed and atmanirbhar under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
• His official itinerary listed stops at Sane Guruji Tarun Mandal, Kasba Ganpati Mandal and the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust.
• He also visited the residence of former Union minister and BJP leader Prakash Javadekar in the city.
• The visit coincided with state-organised programming after Maharashtra declared Ganeshotsav a state festival, and followed his video condemning alleged abusive slogans at a Congress-RJD event in Darbhanga.
