- A delegation led by working president Raman Bhalla submitted a memorandum calling for comprehensive relief, rehabilitation, restoration and reconstruction across flood-hit areas.
- The request followed disasters that killed over 150 people and damaged more than 4,000 houses, 70 bridges and 3,000 kilometres of roads, according to figures reported by officials.
- The memorandum also sought a high-level expert team for landslide and land-sinking zones and demanded urgent repairs and completion of key road projects.
- The delegation urged a national disaster declaration, restoration of statehood, an independent probe into alleged lapses, and targeted farmer relief including KCC loan and power tariff waivers with compensation for livestock and equipment.
- Major General Mukesh Bhanwala briefed the LG on Army relief under Operation Rahat, and the LG praised the force’s swift humanitarian response.
