Ixigo Posts Q2 Loss on One-Off ESOP Hit Despite 37% Revenue Growth

A one-off ESOP expense turned a growth quarter into a small loss.

  • Ixigo reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 3.46 crore for Q2 FY26 after booking a one-time ESOP charge of about Rs 26.9 crore.
  • Revenue from operations rose 36–37% year-on-year to Rs 282.7 crore as gross transaction value increased 23% to Rs 4,347.5 crore.
  • Total expenses jumped to Rs 290.4 crore, up roughly 51–52% year-on-year, with employee benefits up about 92% and other costs up around 42%.
  • Excluding the ESOP item, management said profit before tax would have been approximately Rs 24.4 crore, indicating improved underlying profitability.
  • Ixigo is raising roughly Rs 1,296 crore via a preferential issue with Prosus to strengthen its balance sheet and invest in AI-led products, hotel expansion and potential acquisitions.
