Ivy League Star Joey Slackman Transfers to Florida

Joey Slackman, Penn's defensive lineman and Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, is transferring to the University of Florida for his final year of collegiate eligibility.
Slackman received 27 offers within 24 hours of entering the transfer portal, demonstrating his high demand in the transfer recruiting class.
During his three seasons with Penn, Slackman accumulated 115 tackles, 25 tackles for losses, and 11 sacks.
Slackman, who was originally recruited as a wrestler, hopes to reach the NFL and will begin his journey in Florida as a master’s student after graduating early from Penn.
Slackman believes that Florida will provide him the opportunity to develop as a player and a person, and help him achieve his goal of getting to the NFL draft.
