Ivan Toney, Brentford's star striker, scored 19 minutes into his return from an eight-month ban for betting offences, helping Brentford end a five-match losing streak with a 3-2 win against Nottingham Forest.
Toney's goal, a stunning free kick, equalised the score after Forest midfielder Danilo's third-minute volley.
Brentford went ahead twice in the second half with goals from Ben Mee and Neal Maupay, despite Forest's Chris Wood levelling the score in the 65th minute.
The win moved Brentford up to 14th place, six points clear of the relegation zone, with Forest dropping to 16th.
Despite missing six players who are away at the Africa Cup of Nations and others due to injuries, Forest had come off back-to-back wins against Manchester United and Newcastle.
