The director positions IVAM as an institute for research and exchange, placing public engagement on par with exhibitions.

  • The museum outlined about twenty cultural and educational activities for general, family and school audiences in a presentation led by Blanca de la Torre with regional culture official Pilar Tébar in attendance.
  • New offerings include the monthly screening cycle ‘Sesión expandida’, a stable cineclub (‘La cinefilia del IVAM’), the behind‑the‑scenes project ‘Comisarios en sala’, exhibition tours voiced by soprano Quiteria Muñoz, and an annual art‑therapy residency developed with the CREAP center.
  • A collective project titled ‘De todas las colinas llegaban gritos’ will prepare for the August 2026 solar eclipse, using meetings and creative exploration to reflect on natural phenomena and their social and cultural echoes.
  • School programs debut an installative play for ages 0–4 based on a pedagogy of light, an audiovisual workshop animating Julio González’s sculptures with Emilio Martí, and dance-led visits by Marta García Navarro and Pauli Romero.
  • Family activities include a music‑guided visit linking Stravinsky with Julio González, fanzine workshops, the ‘¡Menuda danza!’ session, and a new light‑and‑shadow play space for children aged 0–4, alongside the continuation of ‘Els Grans’ and intergenerational art classes.
