IU and Park Bo-gum Confirmed for Netflix's 'When Life Gives You Tangerines'

The series, set in the 1950s on Jeju Island, is written by Lim Sang-chun and produced by Kim Won-suk.

South Korean singer and actress IU and actor Park Bo-gum have been confirmed as the main cast for the upcoming Netflix K-drama series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines'.
The series, set in the 1950s on Jeju Island, follows the adventures of Ae-sun, played by IU, a rebellious young lady aspiring to become a poet, and Gwan-sik, played by Park Bo-gum, a reserved person who expresses his emotions through actions.
Moon So-ri and Park Hae-joon will portray the older versions of Ae-sun and Gwan-sik, respectively.
The series is written by Lim Sang-chun, known for her work in dramas such as 'When the Camellia Blooms' and 'Fight for My Way', and produced by Kim Won-suk, known for K-dramas including 'My Mister', 'Misaeng: Incomplete Life', and 'Signal'.
Netflix has yet to announce a premiere date for the series.
