Overview
- Corriedale brings Coronation Street and Emmerdale together for a single hour-long episode built around a catastrophic multi-vehicle crash that interlaces storylines without revealing outcomes.
- The special is not available early on ITVX for one night only, following lead-in half-hour episodes at 7pm and 7:30pm, before the crossover airs at 8pm on ITV and ITVX.
- ITV’s new weekday schedule begins after the event, with Emmerdale at 8pm and Coronation Street at 8:30pm in 30-minute installments that will continue to drop on ITVX at 7am.
- Producers pre-shot four alternative crossover scenes and will insert the audience’s choice live to air, a last-minute operation overseen by executive producer Iain MacLeod.
- Filmed over three weeks in October with extensive night shoots on a disused road near Harrogate, the large-scale stunt episode features around 40 cast members and is confirmed as a one-off, with no plans for a permanent merger.
