ITV Reveals First Look at 'The Hack,' New Drama on UK Phone Hacking Scandal

The seven-part series, starring David Tennant, explores investigative journalism and police probes between 2002 and 2012.

The series also follows Robert Carlyle as Detective Dave Cook investigating the unsolved murder of private investigator Daniel Morgan.
Toby Jones portrays Alan Rusbridger, former editor-in-chief of The Guardian, which extensively covered the scandal.
The drama is written by BAFTA-winning Jack Thorne and directed by Lewis Arnold, with production completed in 2024 and release pending.
The phone hacking scandal recently resurfaced with Rupert Murdoch's News Group Newspapers apologizing to Prince Harry and settling for damages.
