Overview
- ITV has officially commissioned a six-part television adaptation of Charlotte Langley’s debut novel The Blame for broadcast on ITV1 and STV with streaming on ITVX and STV Player.
- Michelle Keegan will lead the series as DI Emma Crane opposite Douglas Booth as her partner, DI Tom Radley, in the fictional town of Wakestead.
- The supporting ensemble includes Ian Hart, Nigel Boyle, Joe Armstrong, Matilda Freeman, Nathan Mensah, Gavin Spokes, Josh Bolt and Ceallach Spellman, portraying key police and town figures.
- The series is produced by Quay Street Productions with lead writer and executive producer Megan Gallagher, executive producers Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee, and directors Bex Rycroft and Claire Tailyour attached.
- Filming is scheduled to start in summer 2025 in and around London, with no official broadcast date announced yet.
