Overview

  • ITV has announced that Lorraine Kelly's show will be reduced to 30 minutes and air only 30 weeks a year starting January 2026, with Good Morning Britain taking over her 9–10 am slot for 22 weeks annually.
  • Loose Women will also shift to a seasonal schedule, airing for 30 weeks a year, while This Morning remains unaffected in the new programming plan.
  • Good Morning Britain’s production will move from ITV Studios to ITN, consolidating ITV’s news operations and expanding its regional, national, and international news output.
  • The restructuring will result in the loss of more than 220 production roles across ITV Daytime, nearly half of its current staff, with support promised for affected employees during the transition.
  • Savings from these changes will be reinvested into higher-cost programming, including drama, sports events like the FIFA World Cup, and other flagship content.
