Overview

  • Queensland Police expanded their search area to Good Night Scrub National Park and seized several items now sent for forensic examination.
  • On May 25, housemate Tanika Bromley was arrested and charged with explosives and weapons offences after officers found a shortened firearm, ammunition and replica handguns in a grey Hyundai ix35.
  • Investigators have declared the grey Hyundai ix35 and the rundown Gin Gin residence crime scenes as they probe links between Pheobe Bishop’s disappearance and her living arrangements.
  • Seventeen-year-old Pheobe Bishop vanished on May 15 after being dropped off at Bundaberg Airport; CCTV shows she never entered the terminal and the vehicle was later captured driving through Gin Gin.
  • Bishop’s family has described the ordeal as a “heavy hell,” with her mother and younger brother pleading for answers and police urging anyone with images or sightings of the grey Hyundai between May 15 and 18 to come forward.
