Overview

  • Autonomous Cub Trasporti and USB launched the 21-hour stoppage after talks over the lapsed national rail mobility contract remained deadlocked.
  • The strike covers employees of Trenitalia, Italo and Trenord and suspends services outside peak windows from July 7 at 21:00 through July 8 at 18:00.
  • Only trains listed in the guaranteed schedules will run between 06:00–09:00 and 18:00–21:00, with regional, suburban and long-distance services affected.
  • Passengers may obtain full refunds until departure for Intercity and Frecce routes or until midnight before for regional trips, or rebook under equivalent conditions.
  • In anticipation of airport train cancellations, nonstop bus links are operating between Milan Cadorna and Malpensa Airport, and between Stabio and the airport.
