Italy Reassigns Unused Appliance Vouchers to Waiting List After 15-Day Deadline

About €18 million is being reassigned in chronological order from vouchers that expired unused.

Overview

  • From December 3, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy began distributing freed vouchers to waiting-list applicants based on application time.
  • The €48.1 million pot was allocated on the November 18 click day, but only about 300,000 discount codes were redeemed out of more than one million applications.
  • Roughly €30 million has been spent and about €18 million remains to be allocated, according to figures reported by the press.
  • Applicants are notified via the IO app and by email, where the message “Hai ottenuto il bonus!” appears in the Portafoglio section for redemption.
  • The incentive covers up to 30% of eligible appliance purchases, capped at €100 per household or €200 for families with ISEE under €25,000, and manufacturers are pressing lawmakers to extend the program.
