- The exam begins with a six-hour Italian language essay at 8:30 AM on June 18, followed by second written tests on June 19 and oral exams concluding by mid-July.
- Candidates must complete mandatory PCTO hours—90 for licei, 150 for technical institutes and 210 for professional schools—to be admitted to the state exam.
- Students who earn a conduct grade of six must prepare an additional oral paper on active citizenship and final scores combine three-year credits, written exam results and the oral interview.
