Overview
- Candidates can register on the Universitaly platform until July 25 for the first open semester in medicine, dentistry and veterinary studies.
- The semester runs from September 1 to mid-November with nationwide exams in Chemistry, Physics and Biology on November 20 and December 10 to establish a national ranking.
- Students scoring at least 18/30 in each exam but not qualifying for the next semester may transfer all earned credits to a chosen ‘affine’ course such as Biotechnology or Pharmacy.
- The Ministry of University and Research has injected €50 million into universities and asked them to admit an additional 3,000 students to mitigate doctor shortages.
- Participants may retake the open semester up to three times to improve their exam results and secure admission to professional healthcare programs.
