Italy Issues Holiday Recalls for Lenti Meats, Coop Pork Roast and Aragon Anchovy Sauce Over Listeria, Histamine

Health officials urge consumers to return the specified lots during heightened holiday monitoring.

  • On December 24, the Health Ministry announced precautionary recalls of LENTI & LODE high-quality cooked ham lots 2541327 and 2541328 and LENTI roasted turkey breast lot 2541330 for possible Listeria monocytogenes.
  • On December 23, Coop and the Ministry recalled Fior Fiore Coop arista al forno in 120 g packs, lot 2541329, with a best-before date of January 3, 2026, due to potential microbiological risk.
  • A lot of Aragon colatura di alici (anchovy sauce), lot C259/25 in 100 ml bottles, was withdrawn for excessive histamine, with a best-before date of December 30, 2027.
  • The affected meats were produced by Rugger Srl, including items made for Coop, and the anchovy product was made by Di Dio Srl for Stella Srl at the Sciacca facility.
  • The Ministry advises not to consume the listed lots, to return them to points of purchase, and notes that full recall details and ongoing updates are posted on its official portal.
