Overview

• A ministerial decree finalizes criteria and modalities for €600 million in PNRR-backed EV purchase incentives, which will begin in September.
• The incentive program redirects €597 million originally earmarked for charging station installations following EU approval.
• Private individuals with an ISEE up to €30,000 will receive €11,000 for a scrapped thermal car, dropping to €9,000 for ISEE between €30,000 and €40,000.
• Micro-enterprises purchasing N1 and N2 electric commercial vehicles will receive a subsidy covering 30% of the purchase price, up to €20,000 per vehicle.
• A new digital platform will facilitate applications and vehicle listings to support the replacement of 39,000 older cars with zero-emission models by June 2026.
