- Grassroots union USB has formally called a nationwide stoppage across public and private sectors in solidarity with the Palestinian people and the Global Sumud Flotilla.
- The walkout covers trains, local transit, ports, logistics and taxis, and also involves schools and research, while the air sector is excluded that day.
- Rail circulation staff are set to strike from 21:00 on Sept. 21 to 20:59 on Sept. 22, with regional trains guaranteed only in the 6–9 and 18–21 windows and other services at risk of cancellations.
- Operators have posted city-by-city protections, including Rome’s Atac service until 8:29 and 17:00–20:00, and Milan’s ATM warning of service gaps 8:45–15:00 and after 18:00.
- Organizers plan more than 60 demonstrations nationwide, and the transport ministry lists further stoppages through mid‑November, including rail‑freight (Sept. 21–22), highway and port actions on Sept. 21–22, an air‑sector protest on Sept. 26, and a Cobas rail strike from 21:00 on Oct. 2.
