- ECAC’s July 25 decision allows liquids in containers over 100 milliliters at airports equipped with certified smart-security CT scanners.
- On July 27 ENAC confirmed that Rome Fiumicino, Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa, Bologna and Turin have activated the relaxed liquid rules.
- Each of the five hubs already operates next-generation CT scanners capable of analyzing liquids in cabin baggage without requiring removal.
- All other Italian airports continue enforcing the 100-milliliter container cap, one-liter bag requirement and removal during security checks until scanners are upgraded.
