Italian cheesemaker killed after thousands of cheese wheels cascade during warehouse accident

A 74-year-old Italian cheesemaker named Giacomo Chiapparini died when shelves holding thousands of cheese wheels collapsed in his warehouse.
The hard Parmesan-style cheese wheels weighed around 90 pounds each and fell from heights over 30 feet tall, creating a domino effect.
It took rescuers 12 hours to locate Chiapparini's body buried under the enormous pile of collapsed cheese.
Investigators believe a possible malfunction with the warehouse's cheese cleaning machine may have contributed to the deadly collapse.
The accident resulted in major economic losses for Chiapparini's company, which produced around 15,000 cheese wheels annually.
