Overview

  • On July 30, the board signed off on Ita’s first long-term industrial strategy under Lufthansa’s 41% stake, covering 2026–2030 operations and growth targets.
  • The fleet will be stabilized at around 100 aircraft by 2030 with a complete replacement of older models through next-generation jets.
  • Starting in 2026, one new long-range aircraft will be added each year, resulting in five additional widebodies by the end of the plan period.
  • Full integration into Star Alliance is scheduled for early 2026 alongside deeper codeshare and joint ventures with United Airlines, Air Canada, All Nippon Airways and other partners.
  • New intercontinental services to the Americas, Asia and Africa are planned and a personnel growth program will launch in 2026 as Lufthansa moves toward majority ownership.
