ISSSTE Opens State-of-the-Art Córdoba Operating Room and Advances National Clinic Modernization

Community-led upgrades at Pantitlán are paired with a cutting-edge Córdoba operating room, expanding specialized care under ISSSTE’s national modernization strategy.

Overview

  • Director general Martí Batres inaugurated the renovated operating room at the Córdoba Family Medicine Clinic with its first successful hernia surgery and same-day patient discharge.
  • The new surgical suite is equipped with a modern anesthesia machine, specialized lamp, two preparation beds and two recovery beds for ambulatory and short-stay procedures across six specialties.
  • Under Programa La Clínica es Nuestra, CMF Pantitlán received 1.1 million pesos for infrastructure, a newly delivered ambulance and plans for sanitary, roofing and ventilation renovations.
  • The COSABI committee at Pantitlán approved a vaccine storage freezer, four vital-sign scales and speed-reducing buoys for pedestrian crossings, while 200 pensioners received permanent-validity credentials.
  • Both sites feed into ISSSTE’s National Program for Operating Room Improvement, which aims to modernize 80 operating rooms and family medicine clinics to benefit more than 2 million beneficiaries.
