Overview
- ISRO launched two online application drives in late July for a total of 654 vacancies, with the ICRB window for 244 Assistant/UDC/JPA/Stenographer posts closing on August 16, 2026 and the URSC apprentice window for 410 positions closing on August 28, 2026.
- The ICRB clerical vacancies require a bachelor’s degree with at least 60% or a 6.32 CGPA for Assistant and UDC posts and mandate computer proficiency for applicants.
- Applicants for ICRB must pay a Rs.100 application fee plus a Rs.500 processing fee through Bharatkosh, and the notification sets clear refund rules that return processing fees to exempted categories if they appear in the written test.
- The ICRB selection will use a single 150‑minute objective written exam held at 38 cities followed by a skill test with shortlisting up to a 1:5 ratio, while URSC apprentices will be chosen by qualifying exam marks and document verification.
- URSC’s 410 apprenticeship places break down into 220 graduate, 120 technician and 70 commercial practice posts with monthly stipends of Rs.12,300 for graduates and Rs.10,900 for diploma apprentices and explicit terms that training does not create a right to regular ISRO or DoS employment.
